Agency Producer

Madison, WI
Full Time
Creative
Mid Level

Hiebing is a passionate, full-service agency fueled by curiosity and collaboration. Our teams in Madison and Austin work together to craft meaningful stories for brands we love and pro bono causes we believe in. We believe in We Before Me, where the team has your back, and a Yes And mindset, where good ideas get better when others build on them.

We’re looking for an experienced Agency Producer to round out its small yet mighty video production team. You will play pivotal role in planning and executing various advertising campaigns and creative deliverables, including video, animation, photography and audio projects.

As an agency the pace is dynamic and the work is varied. This role is best suited for someone who feels energized by momentum, enjoys juggling multiple creative asks, and can adapt quickly without losing attention to detail. If you thrive in a fast-moving, collaborative environment where your work gets seen and shared, you’ll feel right at home.

What You’ll Do:

End‑to‑End Production Leadership
Lead a range of productions from early planning through final delivery, owning schedules, budgets, resources, and workflows. You’ll serve as a primary production partner to internal teams and clients, ensuring work is executed at a high creative and operational standard.

Co‑Production on In‑House Projects
Collaborate closely with our internal creatives on co‑produced projects that are shot and directed in‑house. You’ll help shape approach, staffing, scope, and execution—acting as both strategic producer and hands‑on problem solver throughout the process.

Vendor & Talent Management
Source, vet, and manage external partners such as production companies, freelance crew, photographers, directors, and editors. Negotiate contracts, manage usage, and build long‑term relationships that strengthen our production ecosystem.

Pre‑Production Planning
Oversee pre‑production activities including scoping, scheduling, casting, location management, permitting, and production strategy—anticipating risks and solving challenges before they hit the set.

Post‑Production Leadership
Partner with editors, animators, and finishing teams to manage post workflows, reviews, and deliveries. Ensure creative intent, timelines, and budgets stay aligned through final cut.

Budget Ownership & Financial Stewardship
Build and manage production budgets, track expenses, assess trade‑offs, and communicate clearly with teams and clients. You’ll be trusted to balance creativity with fiscal responsibility.

Creative Collaboration
Contribute meaningfully to creative conversations—offering production‑informed ideas, alternative approaches, and smart solutions that elevate the work without over‑engineering it.

Team & Process Collaboration
Work closely with agency producers, creatives, and account teams, helping to refine production processes and share best practices across teams. Mentor junior producers and project leads when appropriate.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: 3-5+ years of experience producing video, content, or integrated campaigns—ideally within an agency or creative production environment.
  • Production Judgment: Strong instincts around scope, risk, feasibility, and execution across a range of production scales.
  • Organization & Communication: Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable leading multiple projects simultaneously while keeping teams aligned.
  • Problem‑Solving Mindset: Calm under pressure, proactive, and solutions‑oriented when plans shift (because they always do).
  • Collaboration First: Comfortable working in a highly collaborative, hybrid environment where producers are true creative partners, not just traffic managers.
  • Authorization: Ability to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
